a Refuge for Saving the Wildlife - Miguel

Miguel is a very unique bird. He lacks the sturdier build of some other Amazons, although he makes up for it with a vibrant red and lilac crown. He was born in Honduras and taken from the wild; this means he entered the country before the 1992 Wild Bird Conservation Act (which made it illegal to import birds for the pet trade). Since he came from the wild, Miguel was not handfed as a chick. He adores apples, harder veggies, and popcorn. Miguel is *very* quiet for an Amazon, and greatly prefers men over women. When asked "What's your name?" he will often reply "Miquel" and a gruff voice.
