Why Adopt?

Many parrots suffer times of hardship and loneliness at the hand of parrot breeders or owners who no longer care for them. A Refuge for Saving the Wildlife works hard to prepare parrots for their next home, and we will work with you to find a bird compatible with you and your household. Parrots from shelters usually end up there because the previous owner suffered a financial hardship, moved, had a death in the family or gave up on caring for the Parrot, NOT because the parrot is unhealthy.

Our basic goal is to rescue parrots who have been neglected, abused, injured or surrendered to us because their owners can no longer care for them, and find them forever homes where they can thrive.
