Hi! My name is Katie.
Contrary to what my name suggests, I am actually a male Umbrella cockatoo. I was a very good boy in my previous home, but my Dad's work caused him to travel extensively and he knew that I wasn't getting the time and attention that I deserved. He made the difficult decision to bring me to live at the Refuge.
I love to play with boxes and just about any type of toy you give me.
Walnuts are a favorite treat of mine, so if you plan to adopt me, please make sure to have plenty of walnuts on hand! I am a bit timid when I first get to know you, but with some work, I can learn to trust you and may just end up being your very best friend!
