Coconut

Hi, I'm Coconut! I was surrendered to the CARE rescue in Wisconsin and came to the Refuge from there. I am very choosy when it comes to the people I like. I do like to cuddle in towels, so this is a good way to spend time with me and get to know me. I get excited easily, so you should be very good at reading cockatoo body language if you want to spend time with me.

I absolutely love walnuts - they're the yummiest treat ever! I talk a lot, although it's not always easy to understand what I'm saying. I love to spend time on the bottom of my cage and therefore need a lot of toys that are appropriate for floor playing.

I'm quite smart and take great pleasure in learning how to dislodge my food and water dishes from their holders. If you're interested in meeting me or possibly even adopting me, please contact the Refuge and make an appointment to come meet me.

Hope to see you soon!

Our Mission is Simple

To work in joint cooperation with all avian rescue groups to try and eliminate the need for rescue groups by educating the public about aviculture issues. Until that is accomplished, we will provide a sanctuary for those unfortunate parrots that are in need of a home.
