Zachary

Hi there! I'm Zachary, people call me Zach for short. I'm actually a female, even though my name is more of a male's name. I'm a sweetheart and I love perching on people's heads. You may want to check your hair before you leave the house.... you never know what kind of surprise I may have left in there!Over the years, I've been a bit rough on my feathers and many of them will no longer grow back. I look a little bit naked, but I am still the most adorable little bird around! You should see my legs... everyone calls them chicken legs. I love nothing more than under-wing rubs. If you're willing to indulge me, I'll readily lift my wings up for a good rub.

If you'd like to learn more about me, please contact the Refuge.

Love,
Zach

Our Mission is Simple

To work in joint cooperation with all avian rescue groups to try and eliminate the need for rescue groups by educating the public about aviculture issues. Until that is accomplished, we will provide a sanctuary for those unfortunate parrots that are in need of a home.
