Rusty

Hi, my name is Rusty and I'm a Mitred Conure. I'm a happy boy! I've been told I have a very infectious laugh that makes you laugh right along with me. It's fun! I came to the Refuge along with my two African Grey parrot friends, Ziggy and Vito, during 2009 because one of our previous family members developed an allergy to us.

Not to brag, but I've stolen the hearts of various volunteers already during my time here. I have picked some of my feathers around the back end, which will most likely not grow back, but since I've been at the Refuge, I don't seem to be actively picking anymore.

Please come and meet me - I'll be waiting for your visit!

Love,
Rusty

Our Mission is Simple

To work in joint cooperation with all avian rescue groups to try and eliminate the need for rescue groups by educating the public about aviculture issues. Until that is accomplished, we will provide a sanctuary for those unfortunate parrots that are in need of a home.
