I thought I'd send you an update on Star. First of all, we've renamed her - she loves to pose for the camera and preen and she definitely knows what she wants and doesn't want, so we've named her Diva. The name fits, and she responds to it.
She's a happy bird. She has her own birdie playground and she is always excited to see us. She has almost learned how to do the "wolf-whistle" and uses that whistle to call us if we're in another room. She tolerates the cat and is getting used to the kitchen. Usually when out of the cage she doesn't like to stray to far from it and flies back quickly but yesterday she flew to the kitchen counter and spent a little time hanging out with me.
The funny part is, she is nuts about Lowell. Lowell likes birds but doesn't love them, but she gets so excited when he's around he has fallen in love with her.
