Axel

Hi! My name is Axel and I'm a Goffin's cockatoo. I've had a couple of homes since coming to the Refuge, but for one reason or another, I keep coming back here. Don't hold that against me! I'm an awesome little guy who has run into a string of back luck. My adoptive families had some major life changes and just couldn't give me the attention I needed anymore. Needless to say, I'm really looking for my forever home.

Like all Goffin's, I have lots of energy! I have done some plucking on my wing feathers in the past, and as such, can't fly. I hop though - very well! Just set me on the floor and watch me go!

I'm a very friendly bird and I don't seem to have a preference for male or female humans - just give me lots of love and attention and I'll love you right back.

If you'd like to learn more about me or come meet me, please contact the Refuge for more information. What are you waiting for?

Love,
Axel

Our Mission is Simple

To work in joint cooperation with all avian rescue groups to try and eliminate the need for rescue groups by educating the public about aviculture issues. Until that is accomplished, we will provide a sanctuary for those unfortunate parrots that are in need of a home.
