  6. Googa

Googa

Googa, like any lorikeet, adores fruit. The ecstatic noises he makes when presented with his daily dose of fresh produce are just adorable. If someone wants him to step up, he usually flicks his tongue out to taste that hand; there’s nothing like being “kissed” by a lorikeet. Googa’s feathers are recovering nicely from a bout of plucking, and he becomes more colorful every week.

He can sneeze, say “bless you,” laugh and even imitate the beeping noise of a phone; but his best sound is him whistling “La Cucaracha”. Googa loves to sit on a shoulder and watch the world go by.

We are very happy to report that Googa has been adopted on 11/20/2007!

Our Mission is Simple

To work in joint cooperation with all avian rescue groups to try and eliminate the need for rescue groups by educating the public about aviculture issues. Until that is accomplished, we will provide a sanctuary for those unfortunate parrots that are in need of a home.
