  6. Pickle

Pickle

Pickle was a very much-loved little Senegal but she needed to come to the Rescue because her human mom got very ill after having a baby. She could no longer take care of Pickle and pay as much attention to her as she needed, so she made the very difficult decision to turn her in to the Rescue in order for her to get a better life.

Pickle was at the Rescue only 12 hours! It was a Saturday morning, Rich called me to warn me that there was a new Senegal there. He knew that Jerry and I were still heartbroken, having lost our beautiful Senegal Lucy just a few months prior and did not want me to get upset by seeing Pickle. We got there, saw Pickle and I knew I had to take her home.

That was a year and a half ago. Pickle is the most beautiful treasure that I could ever have asked for. She is sweet, always happy. She yells “weeeee” whenever I walk into the room because she is happy to see me. She loves to chew up any type of paper that she can get her beak on… including the checks in my checkbook!! I also believe that she eats more than our Macaws, lol.

Our Mission is Simple

To work in joint cooperation with all avian rescue groups to try and eliminate the need for rescue groups by educating the public about aviculture issues. Until that is accomplished, we will provide a sanctuary for those unfortunate parrots that are in need of a home.
